ASCO Registry Data Dashboard Provides Insights on Patients with Cancer and COVID-19
The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Survey on COVID-19 in Oncology Registry (ASCO Registry) recently launched a new, interactive data dashboard, which summarizes the demographic and cancer information of patients included in the ASCO Registry.
The ASCO Registry, which launched in April 2020, aims to help the entire cancer community learn about the pattern of symptoms and severity of COVID-19 among patients with cancer, as well as how SARS-CoV-2 viral infections impact the delivery of cancer care and patient outcomes.
While the ASCO Registry collects both baseline and follow-up patient data, the new dashboard provides data specifically about patient information at the time of their COVID-19 diagnosis. Practicing oncologists can use the dashboard to learn how their patient population compares to those entered in the Registry.
The dashboard will be updated weekly as new data arrives from practices participating in the ASCO Registry. ASCO intends to roll out additional features in early 2021, following release of the initial scientific manuscript.
